The new BMW Serie 5 PHEV already has equipment and prices for Spain
With its arrival expected next November, the new BMW Serie 5 plug-in hybrids announce their price for Spain

Just a few days ago BMW announced the arrival of the PHEV versions, or plug-in hybrids, of the newly launched Serie 5, thus completing the range of electrified versions of this eighth generation, although it is worth noting that even the combustion engines also feature some electrification, as all of them are equipped with the 48 V mild-hybrid technology.
The arrival of the BMW Serie 5 PHEV is imminent; in fact, they can already be ordered, as their arrival at dealerships is scheduled for next November, so the brand has already officially announced the price it will have in our country. Before that, let us recall that the Serie 5 PHEV will be available in two versions: on one side the 530e, and on the other, as the most powerful option, the 550e xDrive.

The BMW 530e is equipped with a four-cylinder engine of 2,000 cc together with an electric motor of 184 CV mounted on the eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox itself, generating a combined output of 299 CV and a torque of 450 Nm, figures that allow it to reach 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. For its part, the BMW 550e xDrive features a six-cylinder engine of 3,000 cc, while the electric motor produces 197 CV, achieving a combined output of 489 CV and a torque of 700 Nm, reducing the acceleration time to 100 km/h to 2 seconds compared with the 530e.

Both models share the same lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 19.4 kWh, located in the underbody, giving the 530e a fully electric range of 103 kilometres and the 550e xDrive a slightly lower range of 90 kilometres maximum. This battery, whose charging power increases to 7.4 kW compared with its predecessor, is capable of recharging itself during acceleration, deceleration and braking phases; however, it can of course also be plugged in, taking advantage of its maximum power to charge from 0 to 100% in 3 hours and 15 minutes, although using a domestic socket this time increases to 11 hours and 45 minutes.

Both models are also available in a base finish that includes extended standard equipment compared with the combustion-engine versions. Within this equipment we can find items such as the following:
- 19-inch alloy wheels
- Driving Assistant
- Active Guard
- Parking Assistant
- Tyre pressure control
- Pedestrian acoustic protection
- TeleServices
- Emergency call
- ConnectedDrive Services
- Heated seats
- Alarm
- LED interior lighting
- LED front and rear headlights
- BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Curved Display
- BMW Interaction Bar
- BMW My Modes
- Dual-zone climate control
- Wireless charging tray
- Professional Adaptive Chassis (only for 550e xDrive)
- Integral Active Steering (only for 550e xDrive)
- Professional charging cable (Mode 3) for public charging stations of up to 22 kW
As I mentioned earlier, both models can already be ordered, with a price starting from €71,150 for the 530e and from €88,250 for the 550e xDrive.
