The new Ford Ranger Raptor shows its capability through the mountains of New Zealand, and it is impressive
Ford has made the Ranger Raptor one of its most capable products, and it proves this when tackling the mountains of New Zealand in this video.

We live in a world where most of today’s car manufacturers do not value the off-road capabilities of their most adventurous vehicles as much. However, Ford arrives with a glass of cold water to wake us from this lethargy with the new Ranger Raptor, a pick-up that fears nothing. After a while watching the American brand tease us with different teasers, we were finally able to meet the Raptor and today we can see how it dominates the mountains of New Zealand with its spectacular tuning.
Ford has been betting for ages on a series of vehicles highly capable in the most adverse terrains, and it continues to do so today with the Ranger Raptor. This new pick-up is presented as a more restrained variant of the F-150, yet it does not hesitate for a second when facing some of the trickiest areas of the world, where its tuning will be its best ally.
The oval brand has made sure to offer a product that lives up to expectations and is able to withstand any situation. The Ranger Raptor presents itself as the ideal candidate to meet those needs and, at the same time, will be the ideal companion for those more adventurous customers who require a highly capable vehicle.
Ford has gone to the mountains of New Zealand to let us take part in the incredible capabilities of the Ranger Raptor. However, to reach that potential, the American brand has equipped its new pick-up with a series of very competent elements for extreme off-road driving. On the one hand, we find a ground clearance of 283 mm, complemented by an approach angle of 32.5º.

At the same time, we find Fox Racing coilover shock absorbers, which fully absorb the jumps the Ford Ranger faces. The solid rear axle also helps make the American pick-up unstoppable, but we must also consider a fundamental component: its engine. Under the hood of the Ranger Raptor lies a 2.0-litre diesel engine capable of delivering 213 CV of power and 500 Nm of torque, figures more than enough to tackle any terrain.

With the presentation of the new Ford Ranger Raptor, all fans of pick-ups and of the oval brand were wondering whether it would arrive in Europe, but for now we have no news on this. Meanwhile, we can be clear that New Zealand is a perfect market for the latest creation of Ford, where its mountains will not pose an obstacle to the Ranger Raptor.
