The new Peugeot 3008 is now available to order in Spain with its Hybrid 136 powertrain, featuring mild-hybrid technology and an ECO label

The Peugeot 3008 has undergone a radical design change, with a completely new exterior that reflects the design language of the brand’s latest presentations and is far more refined, along with an interior that represents a great leap in quality, both in design and in the technology it will now feature. In addition, new powertrains arrive, in which electrification is now fully evident.

Just a few days ago, Peugeot began the marketing of the e-3008, the fully electric version of this SUV, while the 3008 with the available hybrid powertrain is now going on sale. Both models are similar, as they use the STLA Medium platform of the Stellantis group, a platform that supports different electric propulsion variants, and which also allows the exterior and interior design to be similar, except for the obvious changes due to the powertrain.

This also means that, regardless of the powertrain chosen, both models share trim levels and equipment. The first of these is called Allure and includes features such as the following:

  • Rear obstacle detection and VisioPark 1 with 180º rear-view camera
  • DRL daytime running lights
  • Electrically adjustable, heated and folding exterior mirrors
  • ECO LED headlights
  • Automatic windscreen wipers
  • Electrochromic interior mirror

Above it sits the GT trim, which adds to the above the following features:

  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Peugeot Virtual i-Toggles
  • Matrix-LED headlights
  • Frameless electrochromic interior mirror

Mechanically, the Peugeot 3008 will be available with the Hybrid 136 powertrain, consisting of a 136 CV PureTech petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, which uses a 21 kW electric motor integrated into the 6-speed DCS gearbox. In this way it can carry the ECO label while registering a combined consumption of 5.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 124 g/km.

As I was saying, the new Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 136 is already available to order in Spain, an option that is undoubtedly more affordable than its electric sibling and with greater range, with a starting price of 38,660 euros.
