The Peugeot E-3008 is unveiled as an electric model with a long range and an imposing look

The design of the new electric SUVs from Peugeot is very attractive, with an image that aims to offer a feline look, in line with the brand’s legendary emblem, the lion. The new Peugeot E-3008 has followed this path and becomes an interesting electric SUV offering many innovations and a fairly substantial range. Let’s see what this new Peugeot E-3008, which debuts now, has to offer.

To begin with, it has a rather interesting look, offering a sporty appearance thanks to the roofline sloping down from the C-pillar, which is combined with a small rear spoiler. Another element that contributes to this dynamic look is the wheels, which can be 19 or 20 inches, with a design that helps keep aerodynamics at quite impressive levels.

Three electric powertrains

This electric model is built on the STL Medium platform, designed to achieve maximum efficiency with several electric motors. In fact, this model is offered with three powertrains options. The first uses one motor, so it has only two-wheel drive. This motor delivers a power of 157 kW, equivalent to 210 CV. In this case, the battery offers a range of 525 kilometres under the WLTP cycle.

The second one also has two-wheel drive, but increases the range to 700 kilometres, also under the WLTP cycle, with a power of 170 kW, that is, 230 CV. Finally, a version with two motors will arrive later, raising the power to 240 kW, equivalent to 320 CV. In this case, the range is also 525 kilometres.

The model allows fast charging with a power of 160 kW on direct current. If alternating current is chosen, it can accept charging of up to 22 kW. The liquid cooling of the battery enables efficient charging and proper operation during every journey. In addition, the energy recovery system helps regain charge when the accelerator is released and the car decelerates.

A highly technological interior

The interior of the Peugeot E-3008 features many innovations that enhance the driving experience. This is immediately apparent upon entering, thanks to the 21-inch curved screen. It integrates the instrumentation and the infotainment system display. This is called Peugeot Panoramic i-Cockpit®.

On the centre console there are 10 i-toggles that can be configured and assigned the functions the driver prefers. In addition, when driving, you can choose between several driving modes: Normal, Sport and ECO. Each one offers a different experience to enjoy every moment as it deserves.

The 40 driver assistance systems ensure that driving will not only be more comfortable, but also safer. One of them uses four cameras located near the wheels and 12 sensors spread across several points of the vehicle. With Visiopark 360º, as this system is called, you can have a complete view of everything around the vehicle.

With all this, the Peugeot E-3008 can operate semi-autonomously on the motorway, so you can drive more relaxed on every journey.
