The Porsche 911 GT3 is renewed and unveiled with new features to enjoy behind the wheel
The arrival of 2025 means the Porsche 911 is updated, with two new variants: one sporty and the other aimed at more conventional driving.

The arrival of 2025 means that brands are presenting their new proposals to kick off the year with force. Porsche has not wanted to be left behind and shows us two new versions of the Porsche 911 GT3, both closely related to the update carried out on the 992.2 generation of the model.
The Porsche 911 GT3 is divided into two new variants, one of them with the Touring package. Aesthetically, there are no substantial changes, although many optional elements have been added that reinforce the car’s image. One can also speak of chassis adjustments and other minor changes that improve the model, although they are not spectacular.

The six-cylinder, 4.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine continues to power the car and still produces 502 CV. It is designed for road driving, and its characteristics are set up accordingly. As for the transmission, the manual gearbox has been retained, something many Porsche drivers wanted to keep. That said, the seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox will also be available for those who prefer this way of driving.

The torque has had to be reduced in order to keep polluting gas emissions under control. It has dropped from 470 Nm to 449 Nm. The reduction is small and does not affect engine performance, but emissions have been reduced. In terms of acceleration, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds in the model with the automatic gearbox and in 3.7 seconds with the manual.
The top speed is 193 km/h in the first case and 195 km/h in the car with the manual gearbox. The engine has received several changes to elements such as the cylinder heads, and the cam profiles have been modified. As for the exhaust, it has been replaced by a new system featuring catalytic converters and two particulate filters.
Several elements have been adjusted to achieve better handling on terrain more demanding than a conventional road, although without reaching crossover-like behaviour.
Weight can also be reduced by adding the Weissach package, which uses carbon-fibre components. In the Touring version, which does without spoilers, some parts of the car are also replaced with lighter ones. The 60 Ah battery used in the current variant becomes a 40 Ah unit, which allows 4.5 kg to be removed from the total weight.
Sport seats can be added to enjoy driving on the track, so this model is perfect for both worlds. In addition, the push-button start has been dropped in favour of a rotary key, the traditional one.
These two new variants of the Porsche 911 GT3 will open order books at the end of 2024, with deliveries planned for summer 2025. The price will be around 200,000 euros, so it will be a car for those who want to truly enjoy Porsche engineering and get behind the wheel of a very modern version of a true classic from the brand.
