Megane Renault Electric Cars ECO
The Renault Mégane E-TECH Eléctrico is now priced in Spain, and it is aimed at the VW ID.3

The new Renault Mégane E-TECH eléctrico is set to be one of the stars of 2022, when sales of 100% electric cars are expected to take off. And the French brand’s compact electric car has just announced its prices, opening the order books. There are no surprises: barring last-minute dealer discounts, the announced prices for the Mégane E-TECH electric, available from 35,200 euros, are in line with those of one of its main rivals, the Volkswagen ID.3.
That said, the entry-level Mégane is priced about 2,500 euros lower than the Volkswagen entry model. But they are not directly comparable, because the basic Mégane E-TECH has less range than the ID.3 and does not support fast charging. Here you can read our first road test of the Mégane E-TECH Eléctrico, during the hands-on session at the international presentation of this model. And here is the road test of the Volkswagen ID.3. Another rival of the Mégane E-TECH Eléctrico is the Citroën ë-C4 electric, available from 33,270 euros with a 136 CV motor and a range of 351 km. That is almost 2,000 euros less than the most affordable Mégane, with similar power and more range.

Let’s take a closer look at the Mégane E-TECH range, with the versions and prices depending on the battery and trim level.
Renault Mégane E-TECH eléctrico: from 35,200 euros
The electric Mégane E-TECH range offers two motor/battery versions. The EV40 has a 130 CV motor and a 40 kWh battery with a range of 300 km. The EV60 version reaches 220 CV and uses a 60 kWh battery, which extends the range to 220 km. There are four trim levels: equilibre, evolution, techno and iconic.
The range configuration is somewhat complex, as Renault combines the engines with the trim levels… and with up to 4 charging system options, which are the following:
- standard charge: AC charging up to 7 kW
- boost charge: AC charging up to 22 kW and DC charging up to 85 kW
- super charge: AC charging up to 7 kW and DC charging up to 130 kW
- optimun charge: AC charging up to 22 kW and DC charging up to 130 kW
The EV40 version in equilibre trim with standard charge starts from 35,200 euros, and from 37,100 euros with the boost charge system. The EV60 starts from 40,200 euros, also in equilibre trim, but with super charge; or from 41,700 euros with the optimun charge system. The most expensive version is the EV60 iconic, available from 46,200 euros.

One offer worth noting is that Renault offers the option to buy the Mégane E-TECH electric through the “Preference” multi-option credit, with monthly payments from 344 euros, including the Renault Care 5 service, which includes 5 years of free maintenance, warranty and assistance (80,000 km limit). In addition, Renault provides Mégane electric customers with a card that gives access to the mobilize charge pass service, to identify themselves at more than 260,000 public charging points in 25 European countries and make the charging process easier.
