The SEAT Mii Electric launches in Spain with a very interesting standard equipment list

The SEAT Mii Electric begins sales in Spain flagging up that it is the brand’s first 100% electric model and that it incorporates the SEAT Connect system

SEAT’s first fully electric car is now a reality for the Spanish market: the Mii Electric, the vehicle with which the brand kicks off its electric offensive and which is undoubtedly the most logical option to start with, since the Mii is a car designed for the city and can now get around in a way that is friendlier to the environment. And, to make it even more attractive, it does so with a generous standard equipment list from its entry-level version.

As we already told you when SEAT first previewed it, the Mii Electric does not represent a major aesthetic revolution compared with its combustion-engined version. It can be told apart only by the “Electric” badges, its specific 16-inch wheels on the most sporty trim, and the logical absence of an exhaust outlet when seen from the rear. It can be chosen in five body colours and, optionally, the mirrors and roof can be personalised. Inside, the only changes are a specific decorative trim for the dashboard and ambient lighting.

The major news of the SEAT Mii Electric lies under the bonnet, where an 83 CV electric motor is housed, together with 212 Nm of torque that is paired with a single-speed transmission. This allows it to reach 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds and shortly after reach a top speed of 130 km/h. It has a 32.3 kWh lithium-ion battery integrated into the platform itself, which allows it to travel up to 259 km, a range that can be increased to 358 km if used exclusively in urban driving. This battery can be charged at a fast charger when completely empty and up to 80% in one hour, while charging it at a conventional 7.2 kW socket will take four hours to fully charge. It should be noted that a charging point Wallbox is supplied with the purchase so it can be installed at home.

But the Mii Electric will not be a pioneer within the brand merely by being SEAT’s first 100% model; it will also be the first to integrate the SEAT Connect connectivity system, with which we can access and manage the Mii Electric remotely from our smartphone. From it we can check the battery status, manage the charging process through the e-Manager system, access driving data, locate charging points, know their location, and control elements such as the doors, the lights or the climate control system.
