The Zeekr 009 revalidates the use of MPVs with a more luxurious version

This version of the MPV Zeekr 009 offers a huge amount of luxury features for its occupants, allowing them to travel in full comfort.

The use of MPVs has declined in recent years in favour of SUVs. But this has only happened in the West, because in the Asian market these vehicles have remained in use and we find many models of this type. Some of them are even reaching the European market, where this body style is partially making a comeback. The Zeekr 009 is one of the electric MPVs that are enjoying a certain success in Asia and that has been renewed, presenting a new variant.

The new version is intended for transporting important people and has only four seats. But the lack of seats is offset by equipment that lets them enjoy their journey in style on board this MPV. For now, there is not much information about the new variant, although it is expected to be named Zeekr 009 Grand.

In terms of styling, it is expected to add additional chrome mouldings and 20-inch wheels, with black centre caps and a laser-etched finish. The interior has been greatly improved in terms of equipment, especially in the rear. Here, two individual seats with footrests with electric activation have been installed.

Speakers have been fitted into the headrests so that occupants can be very comfortable and enjoy the experience. These two seats are separated by a centre console with storage compartments, folding tables and an integrated screen. This screen houses the climate, seat and entertainment system controls.

The rear section is separated from the front to create a private and discreet space. It also has a panoramic roof and plenty of decorative wood details. Not much more is known about this variant of the Zeekr 009, but it certainly looks considerably more striking than the regular version.

The regular model offers a 140 kWh battery, which achieves a range of 822 kilometres, though under the CLTC cycle, which is less demanding than the WLTP cycle used in Europe. As for the engine, it delivers 400 kW, equivalent to 536 CV, so it has the necessary punch to move with ease.

Although the Zeekr 009 has yet to announce its arrival in Europe, we do not know whether this version will also be available in our market. What is certain is that the price will be quite high and could exceed 60,000 euros.
