This is how the revolutionary i-Cockpit of the new Volkswagen Touareg looks

The new Volkswagen Touareg optionally features a completely revolutionary digital control centre. The so-called Innovision Cockit is based on the combination of digital instrumentation and the infotainment system. We are therefore talking about a single-screen design very similar to that of the MBUX system used by Mercedes in the new A-Class.
All the information on a single screen
Thanks to the Innovision Cockpit system, the driver of the new Volkswagen Toureg has at their disposal the majority of the car’s functions (instrument cluster + infotainment system) on a single screen. The main consequence of this layout is the absence of buttons on the dashboard; only a few remain on the centre console.

12-inch high-resolution screen
The digital instrumentation of the new Volkswagen Touareg consists of a 12-inch screen with a high-quality resolution (1.20 x 720 pixels). The customisation of this technology is also notable: the user can choose between different display layouts and customise the type of information they receive.
The largest Head-Up Display of Volkswagen

In addition to the Innovision Cockpit, the new Volkswagen Touareg can also optionally include a Head-Up Display, a system that projects instrument information onto the windscreen so the driver does not have to take their eyes off the road. The SUV’s Head-Up Display is in colour and is the largest that Volkswagen offers in its range (217 x 88 mm).
Discover Premium multimedia system: 15-inch Full HD screen
Another of the major debuts of the new Tourag at a technological level is the Discover Premium multimedia system. This optional technology is built into the SUV’s Innovision Cockpit and features a 15-inch screen, the largest offered by Volkswagen. The display is angled slightly towards the driver and offers a near Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,020). Almost all of the vehicle’s functions are controlled through this system. It includes a high-end navigation system with 3D view, route calculation based on topography, traffic or driver profile.

Hybrid radio: terrestrial and online signal
Finally, the German SUV features a hybrid radio that includes both a terrestrial receiver and an online signal for listening to radio over the internet.
