This is the beast from Aston Martin: the AM-RB 001 will feature a naturally aspirated V12
The hypercar designed between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing will make its global debut at the Toronto Auto Show. It will have a power-to-weight ratio of 1/1, will withstand forces of up to 4.5 g, and could be as fast as a Formula 1 car on a circuit.

The much-anticipated hypercar, the AM-RB 001 from Aston Martin, will make its world debut at the Toronto International Auto Show at the end of this month. This model was already unveiled last July at the company’s British headquarters, but now it will be on display so that the entire public can witness the revolutionary project carried out by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing.
Although there is no official confirmation yet, the AM-RB 001 could also appear at the Geneva Motor Show. At the Toronto Auto Show, the CEO of Aston Martin, Andy Palmer, will be present; he recently said: “The AM-RB 001 is destined to be the most revolutionary hypercar of this decade, as well as a highly desirable investment for collectors and enthusiasts.”

Neither Aston Martin nor Red Bull have given many details about the hypercar, but we do know that it will feature a naturally aspirated V12 engine that could be complemented by a small electric motor. Whether in hybrid or combustion form, the engine will be capable of exceeding 10,000 revolutions per minute, a figure reached by very few hypercars today. However, if there is one figure that impresses above all others, it is its power-to-weight ratio of 1/1, a number more typical of a single-seater than of a road-legal vehicle.
The aerodynamics of the AM-RB 001 will also be one of its major strong points, thanks to the use of advanced technology in the vehicle’s underbody. This car will be capable of generating 1,800 kg of downforce and will be able to withstand up to 4.5G of cornering force. This area has been largely developed by former Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey. The underbody of the AM-RB 001 is expected to be so extreme that it can lap circuits as fast as a current Formula 1 car.
Aston Martin announced a few months ago that the 150 units to be built of the AMB-RB 001 have already been sold. However, 25 examples are still needed to complete production of this vehicle, although these units will arrive in a track-only version and cannot be homologated for the road.
