This is the MAX 3 Six-Wheeler, an armored version of the Toyota Land Cruiser J70
The company specializing in armored vehicles offers an armored version of the Toyota Land Cruiser J70, capable of hunting drones and moving over difficult terrain.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the most sought-after off-road vehicles in the world. Its features make it a vehicle built to tackle very demanding terrain and situations where driving flexibility is essential. In fact, the J300 version has just been unveiled, but several countries still rely on the J70 variant, dating from 1984.
What is surprising is that this model remains highly sought after and demand is still significant. It was the chosen platform for the armored vehicle manufacturer SVI Ingineering, which set out to turn it into one of them. To do so, they transformed it considerably, making it quite unrecognizable.

This model has been named MAX 3 Six-Wheeler and was presented during the Africa Aerospace and Defense Show. The vehicle has been fitted with a third axle, positioned at the rear. In addition, the second axle has been modified so that its wheels align with the front ones, offering greater stability and control.

All four rear wheels use disc brakes, which also improves control in delicate moments. Aesthetically, the modifications have been quite radical. It is difficult to identify the model it is based on, although it can be seen in the cabin equipment.
The proposed model is the double-cab variant, but the manufacturer assures that a single-cab version will soon follow. For now, this version features armor rated to protection level EN1063 BR6. This means it withstands assault rifle fire and the impact of antipersonnel grenades without problems. Nevertheless, it can be fitted with superior protection, at level BR7.
This added weight has to be managed. Therefore, a new rear stabilizer bar has been installed, in addition to adjustments to the suspension. The engine is the original block, a 4.5-litre V8, more than enough to move this 5.5-tonne bulk.
One of the vehicle’s functions is to detect and shoot down drones. This means it is equipped with a radar that identifies drones and triggers the grenade launcher, which is responsible for downing them. Afterwards, the downed drone can be recovered thanks to a motorcycle carried in the armored vehicle’s rear bed.
