This is the Toyota bZ3, the ace up its sleeve, which goes on sale in China
Sales of the Toyota bZ3 begin in China, brought to market by three companies that want to dominate the electric car market in China.

Electric cars are the pieces at stake right now in the great battle being fought in the automotive industry. Manufacturers want to have the car that reigns in its segment, so they strive to launch vehicles of this type that can surpass today’s leaders. Toyota wants to position itself at the top with the launch of the bZ3.
This electric model wants to place itself at the top of the best-seller list, although for now it will only be available in China. It stems from the union between Toyota, BYD and FAW-Toyota, the brand’s subsidiary in the country. The design and production strength of Toyota and the battery technology of BYD come together to create the model.

This is the Toyota bZ3
The Toyota bZ3 has a length of 4,725 millimeters, a width of 1,835 millimeters and a height of 1,475 millimeters, while the wheelbase reaches 2,880 millimeters. On the exterior there is a sharp profile, with air intakes that open at the corners of the front bumpers. Through them the mechanical components are cooled and aerodynamics are improved.
Also contributing to this improvement are the door handles, which are flush with the bodywork, the aluminum wheels and the rear bumper, designed to minimize the impact of air on the vehicle. All of this is mounted on the e-TNGA platform, which Toyota uses for its hybrid models and which has been adapted for use in a car with an electric motor.
It is located on the rear axle and will be offered with two power outputs: 135 kWh, equivalent to 181 CV, and 180 kWh, which is 241 CV, with a maximum torque of 303 Nm. As for the battery, it will be available with a capacity of 49.92 kW and another of 65.26 kW.
According to the CLTC cycle, these batteries will allow it to cover 500 and 600 kilometers. On the WLTP cycle, this will be considerably lower, but still interesting. These batteries allow charging at high power levels, offering a charge time of 30 to 80% in 30 minutes.
This model may begin to be manufactured in the Toyota plants around the world and start to be sold in all markets. For now, the price of this model ranges from 22,500 euros for the entry-level version to 26,500 euros for the top-of-the-range version.
