Up to 8 years of international coverage and assistance: EBRO shows us what a warranty should be in 2025

EBRO is revolutionising aftersales in Spain: warranty of up to 160,000 km, free roadside assistance and real coverage for hybrid models too

In a world where the word “warranty” often comes with asterisks, EBRO has managed to turn it into a genuine selling point. The key? A commercial warranty that goes beyond the dealership leaflet and becomes a real lifesaver for the owner. And not just because of its duration, but because of what it covers and how it covers it.

Let’s start with the basics. EBRO offers 7 years or 150,000 km of warranty on all its new vehicles, whichever comes first. This already puts it ahead of the market standard, but the real highlight comes with the electrified models. For the hybrid system, the electric powertrain, the high-voltage battery and its control units, the warranty extends up to 8 years or 160,000 km.

But EBRO doesn’t stop there: it introduces a coverage system based on the degradation of the battery’s state of health (SOH), something rarely seen so clearly. If the battery loses more than 10% of its capacity in the first 50,000 km, more than 20% in the first 100,000 km, or more than 25% at 160,000 km, the warranty kicks in. No excuses. No hassle. No “we need to look at the case”.

Body that is rust-proof… and decades-proof

As for the bodywork, EBRO launches a 12-year warranty with no mileage limit against perforation by corrosion. We’re not just talking about flaking paint; it also covers the rust that ends up eating through the metal. In a country with climates as varied as Spain’s, that’s a good shield.

And if that doesn’t fully convince you, add that any accessory or original part installed by an official workshop has a 3-year warranty with no mileage limit. The manufacturer also ensures spare parts are available for up to 10 years after the model’s production ends.

Of course, all this has conditions, but none unreasonable: to keep the warranty valid, servicing must be carried out in the official EBRO network, which already has more than 60 locations across the country. If you decide to sell the car, the warranty transfers to the new owner without losing any rights. And that, in terms of resale value, is also a gem.

But if there is one area where EBRO really excels, it is roadside assistance. Because we’re not talking about the typical “we’ll send you a tow truck and good luck with the garage”. We’re talking about free, Europe-wide coverage (yes, it also includes Morocco, Tunisia or Syria) that starts with a telephone diagnosis and, if needed, a tow truck that takes you to the nearest EBRO workshop.

Not fixed the same day and you’re more than 50 km from home? They arrange public transport, taxi, train or even a flight to continue your journey. If you need to stay overnight away, EBRO pays for up to three nights in a hotel (4-star, by the way). Is your car going to be in the workshop for more than three days? They repatriate it and leave you a replacement car for a week. No mileage limit. And all of this is included in the warranty, at no extra cost.
