Wörthersee Tour 2011 image megagallery

As you will surely remember, over the past few days one of the most important events for every Volkswagen fan has been taking place, both as a brand and at group level. The event goes by the name of Wörthersee Tour, and today, rather than telling you everything that happened, I want to show you through a huge image gallery, larger than anything you have ever seen on Highmotor.

Just so you are not left with the gallery alone, the event was held, as every year, in a place as iconic as the shores of Lake Wörthersee in Austria, once again becoming the largest festival of its kind in the world.

Even so, perhaps the most striking thing about this event, created by and for VAG Group fans, is that the brands involved have chosen it as the place to showcase the most special concepts, new models and even design studies, which reveal the lines the group’s new vehicles will follow in the future.

This year, as you well know, Volkswagen has put the icing on the cake with the presentation of the production version of the Volkswagen Golf GTI 35th Anniversary with 235 hp, as well as the Golf Cabriolet Concept we saw a few days ago, vehicles that were joined by no less than two Skoda Fabia RS2000 Convertible and the small Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro with 503 hp.

Naturally, a full battalion of private vehicles joined all these official cars at the event to add even more excitement. In short, if you are a fan of everything the VW Group does, especially everything surrounding the Golf GTI, your place is at the Wörthersee Tour.
