All the figures of the Nissan Juke 2020

We have already had the chance to see the second generation of the Japanese bestseller, so it’s time to analyse all the figures offered by the Nissan Juke 2020.

The Nissan Juke 2020 hit the market at the start of the month, showcasing many new features compared to the previous generation launched in 2010, which is why we have already told you everything we knew. The small SUV arrived by tapping into a market niche and managed to popularise a segment that is still booming today.

The first-generation Nissan Juke has been a cornerstone of the manufacturer’s sales, so the responsibility of renewing such a successful model is enormous. However, this generational handover was already overdue, as its age was costing it places in the sales charts, being already in the first half of the year the fourteenth best-selling SUV in Europe with 33,533 units – a poor figure given that for years the Nissan Juke was the king of the segment.

Although at first glance the design may seem a continuation of the previous one, practically everything has changed, so today we are going to compare all the figures of the Nissan Juke against the first generation.

The figures of the Nissan Juke show that it has grown

The Nissan Juke 2020 has increased its length by 75 mm, although it is 18 mm shorter than its cousin with which it shares the CMF-B platform, the Renault Captur. As for its wheelbase, it has grown no less than 105 mm.

One of the keys is the change of platform, since it has come to address the main problems of the model currently on dealership forecourts: the too-small rear seats and its cramped boot.

As a result, the knee room for rear-seat passengers has increased by 58 mm, while the boot has grown by 68 litres, now reaching a respectable 422 litres.

In addition, the Nissan Juke 2020 is lighter than the generation it succeeds. Thanks to elements such as its high-strength steel welds, the weight on the scales has been reduced by 23 kilograms.

There will be 5 trim levels – Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and N-Design. We recommend choosing the Acenta and above, as it will already include standard equipment such as the 8-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

On the other hand, the options for customising the Nissan Juke 2020 are quite extensive, as the brand promises 11 body colours and the option to paint the roof in a contrasting colour.

There will be electrified versions

The Nissan Juke 2020 will initially go on sale with a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine capable of delivering 117 CV and 180 Nm of torque. The engine range will be extended by adopting those that will power the Renault Clio 2019 we tested a few months ago. Therefore, we can expect the engine lineup to include the 130 CV 1.3 TCe petrol and the 1.5 Blue dCi diesel unit with two power outputs: 85 and 115 CV.

However, the Japanese brand has electrification plans for the Nissan Juke 2020, and a plug-in hybrid version is expected that will share technology with the Renault Captur. A 100% electric variant is not ruled out either, which would make use of all the experience the manufacturer has gathered with the Nissan Leaf, a model our colleagues at DrivingEco have already tested.

Nissan will kick off sales of the second generation of its urban SUV with a limited edition of 60 units called the Premiere Edition. This edition comes with a comprehensive specification and is painted in black, contrasting with the roof, with some details in red. The price of the Nissan Juke 2020 Premiere Edition is 28,850 euros.
