Audi A6 55 TFSIe: the A6, now also a plug-in hybrid
With the Audi A6 55 TFSIe, the brand continues to expand its range of plug-in hybrid models. It produces 367 CV, carries a zero-emissions label, and costs 77,000 euros.
Audi keeps going. The brand of the four rings is committed to plug-in hybrids, and now it is the turn of the Audi A6 range. It joins the Audi Q5 TFSIe and Audi A7 Sportback TFSIe. And more is coming…
The new A6 55 TFSIe is now available, with a price in Spain of 76,905 euros. This makes it the second most expensive version in the range, surpassed only by the Audi S6 TDI quattro, which is priced at 83,090 euros.
Plug-in hybrid, petrol or diesel
Compared with the rest of the petrol and diesel engines, none can match it in power. The A6 TFSIe reaches 367 CV of total system power, while the A6 50 TDI quattro stays at 286 CV and costs 67,350 euros. In petrol, the 55 TFSI quattro, with 340 CV, sells for 72,080 euros.

This last one could serve as a good reference to highlight the plug-in hybrid technology of the A6 55 TFSIe. The hybrid costs 5,000 euros more, offers a similar level of power and performance, and adds all the advantages of the DGT zero-emissions label, a much lower consumption, and the possibility of covering more than 40 km in electric mode without using fuel.

Technically, the A6 TFSIe shares its propulsion system with the A7 TFSIe. It combines a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with 4 cylinders and 252 CV with a 105 kW electric motor integrated into the 7-speed S tronic gearbox. Total system power is 367 CV, with a maximum torque of 500 Nm, available from just 1,250 rpm.
Like an electric car in day-to-day use
The official performance figures claim an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The homologated average petrol consumption is 1.6 l/100 km, and electricity consumption is 17.8 kWh/100 km.
The 14.1 kWh battery is placed at the rear, but does not reduce boot space. It allows the A6 TFSIe to reach speeds of up to 135 km/h when running in electric drive mode, and a range of over 40 km according to the WLTP homologation cycle.

Charging can be done with the Schuko domestic plug cable (2.3 kW), or with the mode 3 cable that is also included as standard, for charging at public stations with power of up to 7.2 kW. Users can also make use of the brand’s Audi e-tron Charging Service charging service.
