Beijing Auto Show 2026: a high-voltage technological revolution

It has become clear that, while the rest of the world is still debating the timelines of the energy transition, Chinese brands have taken over Beijing to demonstrate that the automotive future is no longer written only in German or Japanese.

Group Chery

Oversized in scale, the stand of the Chery group was one of the most eye-catching at the show. The company celebrated a historic milestone: surpassing one million units exported globally in record time, driven by its brands Omoda and Jaecoo.

The official presentation of the Omoda 4 was one of the most prominent events, while the Omoda 9 is positioned as the flagship of accessible luxury, with a plug-in hybrid system (PHEV) that promises a combined range of 1,400 km. For its part, the Jaecoo 8, an SUV with off-road aspirations, stood out for its All-Road Drive Intelligent System.

The Geely ecosystem demonstrated its ability to cover every market niche. The parent brand, Geely Auto, presented its new Galaxy architecture, focused on high-end electric and hybrid vehicles with ultra-fast charging batteries. The Geely E5 and Starray EM-i are already a reality in our country, with attractive electric ranges and highly competitive prices.

Zeekr, the electric luxury brand, has been the technological star with the launch of the Zeekr 001 FR “2026 Edition”, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds. In addition, the new Zeekr Mix, a revolutionary MPV with facing sliding doors and a lounge-like configurable interior, redefines the concept of urban space.

Lynk & Co presented the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, an SUV that uses the CMA Evo platform, optimized for Level 3 semi-autonomous driving on motorways, ready to be rolled out in the European market this same year.

Xpeng

Xpeng once again set an example with the G6 Ultra, which incorporates AI-guided navigation without the need for high-definition maps, working even in remote rural areas. Its fully autonomous parking system (where the car finds a space and parks without a driver on board) is already a commercial reality in China.

Leap Motor

Leapmotor, backed by the global logistics infrastructure of Stellantis, has maintained strong growth in recent years. In 2025, the company delivered around 600,000 vehicles worldwide and reached annual profitability for the first time.
