Bimota launches the only two KB4 Signatures in existence for the entire world in Spain

Bimota Spain celebrates the brand’s return to the WSBK with two units of the KB4 signed by Bimota’s riders, along with a unique experience

Bimota Kb4 Signature (1)

The history of Bimota is fascinating and tumultuous in equal measure. It began with its partners, among whom was the great Massimo Tamburini, a designer who worked for other Italian brands such as Cagiva, MV Agusta and Ducati, and at the latter he was the father of, in my opinion, one of the best motorcycles in history and certainly one of the most beautiful: the Ducati 916.

Since its founding, Bimota has passed through several hands, but fortunately for the brand’s history, all of its management teams have kept the same spirit: creating Italian motorcycles with exclusive design and equally exclusive components. Exclusive, too, are the Bimota KB4 Signature BbKRT Unit that the Spanish branch has brought to our country, of which only two units will exist for the entire world.

One of the curiosities of Bimota motorcycles is that throughout its history the company has worked closely with other brands to supply engines, such as Ducati, BMW, Suzuki or Gilera, among others, and it currently falls under the umbrella of Kawasaki. In fact, the Italian brand returns almost 50 years later to take part in the WSBK, and it does so in partnership with Kawasaki and with its own technology; in other words, it will not be a Kawasaki in Bimota livery, but will feature very important elements of in-house development, such as the chassis.

That is why Bimota Spain wants to celebrate this historic return to the world of competition in fine style with the KB4 Signature BbKRT Unit: two units that are hand-signed by Bimota’s own WSBK riders, Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, whom the owners of these two units will be able to meet while attending a WSBK weekend as guests of the brand, with all the comforts and gifts, plus a complete set of Bimota clothing.

Otherwise, the Bimota KB4 Signature BbKRT Unit is a standard KB4, a motorcycle that is distinct from what most of today’s market offers, where the large superbikes seek to shave every possible tenth of a second on track. The KB4 is not like that: it is a motorcycle with a vintage concept, if its retro styling has not made that clear enough. It is a bike with great sporting character that lets you make the most of it on open roads.

Furthermore, this is not a particularly cheap motorcycle, since the components used match those of other major sportbikes, such as the Öhlins suspension, the inverted forks, the in-house chassis, the genuine leather seat, various carbon fibre parts and the Brembo-signed brake system. The engine is of Kawasaki origin and is a 1,043 cc inline four-cylinder that delivers 142 CV at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 111 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

The two units of the Bimota KB4 Signature BbKRT Unit may find new owners if they pay 30,000 euros for them, excluding taxes, with a prior deposit of 1,000 euros, which will be refunded once the buyer completes the purchase.
