BMW X5 sDrive25d: Prices and features of the new, simplest version

The new BMW X5 is ready to arrive at dealerships of the German brand, offering a change in its performance and adapting its engine and its fuel consumption to the tastes and needs of a market that has changed substantially in what it looks for.
This new version is called the BMW X5 sDrive25d, a new version of the popular SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle) that has seen several of its characteristics changed to become a car that retains the full driving experience of the BMW, with the option of rear-wheel drive.
The new version of the BMW X5 is based on the latest generation of the SAV, launched in 2013, which has been fitted with a 2.0 four-cylinder diesel engine capable of delivering 218 CV of power at 4,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 450 Nm in the range between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. This new engine allows a consumption of 5.6/5.7 litres per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 149-151 g/km.
The eight-speed automatic gearbox helps maintain that performance. As for top speed, it is rated at 220 km/h, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. This allows owners of a BMW to keep the experience they expect, despite the downsizing the model has undergone.
This engine reduction and the removal of all-wheel drive make it possible to reduce fuel consumption while maintaining the most important performance figures. A considerable saving that does not come at the expense of any of the model’s main features.
The BMW X5 sDrive25d comes as standard with bi-xenon headlights, an automatically operated tailgate from the cabin, Bluetooth hands-free with US interface, front and rear parking sensors to help when parking, advanced emergency call, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors both outside and inside, and folding rear seats to increase cargo space, and it complies with the Euro 6 standard.
The two existing versions, the sDrive25d and the xDrive25d, are now available at a price of 58,250 euros for the first and 61,250 euros for the second.
