Bugatti Divo, a surprising car looking for an adventure companion

We have finally seen the first images of the Bugatti Divo, along with a video showing the striking design of this new French supercar

We saw it a few days ago, but back then it was just a blur in some Instagram photos. Today we can enjoy the striking image of this new supercar that is based on the Bugatti Chiron, although with many differences between the two. Yes, aesthetically it is a Bugatti and is very reminiscent of the Chiron, but the French manufacturer has wanted to provide a clear differentiation between them.

The main point is that the Bugatti Divo does not want to take the speed record from its older sibling, but rather offer a substantial improvement in aerodynamics, allowing its performance on track to be more efficient. To demonstrate this, the Divo was able to complete the Nardo circuit, in France, in a time eight seconds faster than the Chiron. That said, if the speed of the latter exceeds 400 km/h, the Divo tops out at 380 km/h.

The front is more radical, with very aggressive air intakes, designed both to keep the engine cooled and to improve the aerodynamic coefficient. The front spoiler has also been redesigned, and the front end is, as it could not be otherwise, spectacular.

At the rear it also stands out from the Chiron. For example, the rear wing is wider, reaching 1.83 metres, and is movable. It also has air brake functions and is more complex than the Chiron’s. The rear diffuser is also completely new, which favours the Divo’s handling over the Chiron’s. The chassis has also been improved, adding several novelties along the way, such as a sportier suspension and specific electronics for the model.

The car weighs 35 kg less than the Chiron and uses the same engine, a W16 block with four turbos and 1,500 CV of power. Only 40 units will be built, and if you had saved the more than 5 million euros that each one costs, I’m sorry. All the planned cars have already sold out, so it won’t be possible for it to keep your everyday car company in the garage, although you can see it in the following video.
