Dacia Duster and Prior Design: The Perfect Combination to Give a Radical Edge to the Successful SUV
The German tuner has just unveiled its latest creation based on the quintessential affordable SUV, adding plenty of character and a great deal of aggression

Prior Design is one of the great specialists at bringing out the most extreme side of the vehicles it gets its hands on. The last time we brought you something related to the German tuner, it was the Volkswagen Beetle GT, a prototype born in the Gran Turismo video game that Prior Design had brought into the real world.
This time, its latest work is based on the Dacia Duster, a vehicle that, although it may not seem the most ideal candidate for bringing out a radical side, can leave more than one person open-mouthed thanks to its extremely muscular appearance that really suits the Romanian SUV.
The key to the matter
To uncover the most swaggering side of the Romanian SUV, Prior Design has created a body kit made from fibreglass and Dura-Flex, a combination of materials that stands out for its ease of painting, its durability and its low manufacturing cost.

The front of this modified Duster stands out above all for its considerable width, thanks to its new aggressive front bumper, oversized wheel arches and muscular bonnet, resulting in a Duster that looks loaded with steroids.
From the side, this Duster retains only the SUV’s bodywork, as its ride height has been lowered, sitting the car very close to the ground. The wide wheel arches, new side skirts and larger wheels that conceal brakes with red-painted calipers complete the side of this aggressive SUV.

Very beastly
At the rear, one of our favourite parts, our eyes are quickly drawn to the rear diffuser and the two fist-sized exhaust outlets. Like the rest of the ensemble, it stands out for its width, thanks above all to the broad wheel arches and the bumper with large side vents. Finally, the team at Prior Design has also fitted a subtle rear spoiler.
After this brief tour of the exterior of this Duster by Prior Design, let’s move on to the interior, where the big news is the installation of a roll cage, which is the cherry on top of this rather curious conversion.

The best part? The price
For those who want to unleash the most exciting side of their Dacia Duster and don’t mind losing some of its off-road capability, all they need to pay is €2,999 for the widebody kit, to which, as an optional extra for €299 more, the rear spoiler mentioned above can be fitted. Prior Design is already taking orders and also offers the kit components individually.
