Dacia Duster, now with 1.3 TCe 130 GPF and 150 GPF engines and improved navigation
The Romanian brand has just announced the launch of its new 1.3 TCE petrol engine based on the Duster, and is also upgrading its navigation system.

Dacia has announced at the Paris Motor Show the launch of the new 1.3 TCe versions of the New Duster equipped with the new four-cylinder direct-injection engine that now features a new petrol particulate filter that is more efficient and effective at reducing emissions of harmful elements released through the exhaust from fuel combustion.
The new 1.3 TCe engine brings a considerable weight reduction to the Duster, as it is made entirely of aluminium and is therefore much lighter. It also includes interesting innovations, among which the new “Bore Spray Coating” technique stands out: a coating technology applied inside the cylinders through controlled heat management, which delivers better performance and greater driving pleasure.

The new 1.3 TCe engine will be offered on the Duster in two power outputs of 130 and 150 CV (96 and 110 kW) respectively. The first delivers its power at 5,000 rpm, with peak torque of 240 Nm available from 1,500 rpm. This version offers 5 CV more than the equivalent version of the previous Duster generation. As for the 150 CV variant, maximum power is reached from 5,250 rpm and maximum torque of 250 Nm from 1,600 rpm. This mechanical option offers 25 CV more than the equivalent version of the previous Duster generation.
With the imminent launch of these two engine configurations, Dacia completes the mechanical renewal of the Duster following the introduction of the new Blue dCI diesel engines, available for both front-wheel drive and 4×4 versions. Initially, the launch of both engine versions is planned only on the Duster 4×2 models, with the 4×4 all-wheel-drive configuration expected to follow later, in mid-2019.
Improved navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Also, by the end of 2018 the Duster will also incorporate a new version of Media Nav Evolution that provides easier and faster navigation, as well as new functions thanks to compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which make it easier to download the apps needed to enrich the on-board experience for passengers and facilitate connected navigation.
Media Nav Evolution comes with pre-integrated apps such as Waze, WhatsApp and Spotify, which provide real-time information on routes, traffic conditions and possible hazards and disruptions, message and communication management, voice control, or enjoying the best music on board the Duster.

The sale of these models will begin in just a few weeks (early November) in the brand’s main markets, gradually extending to the rest of the markets in which Dacia operates commercially.
