Donkervoort F22, the brand's new model of which only 75 units will be produced
The Donkervoort supercar arrives to replace the D8 GTO, improving on its capabilities and offering 75 units that promise strong emotions.

For about 10 years, the brand Donkervoort has not presented any novelty; instead, all the vehicles it has offered have been variations of the same models. But that has now changed, and a completely new vehicle arrives, destined to replace the Donkervoort D8 GTO. This model has a very clean design, with an open-wheel style. It is the Donkervoort F22.
As a curious detail, this model is named after the daughter of the company’s managing director, Filippa, who was born in early 2022. The design of the new model confirms its belonging to the Donkervoort brand, with exposed wheels, a long bonnet, side exhausts and other very aggressive design elements.

The design used allows the rear wheels to integrate more into the bodywork thanks to wider wheel arches. This allows the car to improve its overall aerodynamics. The car’s length is 4,039 mm, and the doors are butterfly-type. The lights it features use LED technology. The Twin Targa removable roof is made of carbon fibre and can be removed, which turns the car into a very enjoyable roadster.

The brand assures that the model has considerable improvements over the car it replaces, both in terms of equipment, handling and comfort. Yes, without losing any of its supercar character. The increased size of the cabin allows occupants to travel more comfortably.
Inside we find Recar seats designed specifically for this model, with six-point safety harnesses, which are approved for both racing and road use. The instrumentation is digital, and an optional iPad mini serves as the multimedia screen. It does have air conditioning, and many of the controls are integrated into the steering wheel. The boot, meanwhile, has a capacity of 198 litres.
Engine
The engine is still the turbocharged five-cylinder 2.5-litre unit of Audi origin, which produces 492 CV and a maximum torque of 640 Nm. This represents an increase of 57 CV over the D8 GTO Individual. All this power is sent to the rear axle through a five-speed gearbox with Bosch rev-matching technology and the help of a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Electronic assistance is limited to a multi-stage traction controller and a Bosch ABS. With these figures, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Top speed is 295 km/h.

The chassis is made of tubular steel and carbon fibre, which doubles the torsional rigidity of the model it replaces. This also means that the vehicle’s total weight is 750 kg. It is, however, somewhat heavier than the D8 GTO. The suspension has also been improved and includes the option of power steering assistance as an owner’s option.
75 units of this model will be built, although it has already been announced that 50 units of the car have been sold. The remaining 25 are still available, but this is expected to be short-lived. The starting price is €245,000, and it is sold in Europe, North America and the Middle East.
