EBRO S700 and S800: the return of a Spanish legend to the SUV segment
EBRO makes a strong comeback to the automotive market with the S700 and S800 SUVs, manufactured in Spain, with an attractive design and a launch offer of 27,900€
In an exciting return after almost 30 years of inactivity, the historic EBRO brand, founded in 1954, returns to the automotive market to celebrate its 70 years of history with two SUV models: the EBRO S700 and the EBRO S800, which join the electric pick-up launched in 2023. As you may already know, its name is inspired by the longest river in Spain.
These models are manufactured at the Zona Franca plant in Barcelona, the same place where EBRO opened its factory in 1967. The goal? To reposition EBRO as a benchmark in the family and sustainable SUV segment, offering, in addition, a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty.

Exterior design
The design of both models reflects the brand’s heritage with a contemporary approach. The EBRO S700 measures 4.55 metres long, 1.86 wide and 1.69 high, offers a somewhat more compact profile than its bigger sibling and competes head-on with models such as the Hyundai Tucson, the Nissan Qashqai or the Opel Grandland, for example.
The EBRO S800 competes with the MG HS, the SEAT Tarraco or the SsangYong Torres thanks to its 4.72 metres in length. It keeps the same width as the S700 but is 1 cm taller, which positions it as a roomier option for large families, with seating for up to 7. Both share distinctive details such as the chrome octagonal grille, 19-inch alloy wheels and the coast-to-coast rear light signature that reinforces their modern character.

Engines
Both models are available with efficient engines:
- 1.6 TGDI petrol engine producing 147 CV (275 Nm), combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive.
- On the EBRO S800, a plug-in hybrid variant is also offered, with 347 CV, an electric range of 90 km and a CERO environmental label, arriving on the market next March.
These options strike a balance between performance and sustainability, complying with the Euro 6e-B emissions regulations.
An interior we have already seen…
Among the most notable features of its interior are the 1.1 m² panoramic sunroof and the custom audio system by SONY. It is built in the same plant as the models of the Chery, JAECOO and OMODA group, so many parts, such as the door panels, the central console and even the interior screens, share the same design and finishes. Even so, several premium finishes stand out, such as the Eco-skin upholstery and a spacious interior for the whole family. The S800 in particular stands out for its three rows of seats and a boot of 1,930 litres with the seats folded down.

Among the technological features, both models include:
- 15.6-inch central screen on the S800 and a dual curved 12.3-inch screen system on the S700.
- Infotainment system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 SoC processor.
- Advanced driver assistance (ADAS) with 21 functions, such as a high-resolution 3D panoramic camera and 540º surround view.

Comfort and safety
EBRO does not skimp on safety equipment, offering from the basic version:
- 7 airbags, expandable to 10 in higher versions.
- Assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and front collision warning.
Comfort is also guaranteed with electrically adjustable seats, massage function, heating and a 1.1 m² panoramic sunroof that can be controlled by voice.

The resurgence of a historic brand
With a dealership network that is expanding and which, by the end of 2025, aims to reach 90 sales points, a strategic alliance with CHERY, and production at Zona Franca, the brand is not only experiencing a rebirth and aiming to win over Spanish hearts, but also committing to reindustrialisation and sustainability in Spain.
Prices and availability
All models come with a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty, and in addition, they arrive with a launch offer in which you can take home a top-of-the-range S800 for just 27,900€, otherwise, these are its prices:
