Geely announces the European launch of the Farizon SV electric van

With this new electric van, the company seeks to consolidate its presence in the European commercial vehicle market, offering innovative and sustainable solutions for the continent’s fleets.

Farizon Auto, the brand dedicated to selling commercial vehicles for Chinese giant Geely, is preparing to expand its presence in Europe with the launch on this market of the electric van Farizon SV. Designed specifically to meet the demands of European commercial fleets, this vehicle will be available in three lengths, three heights and with two battery options. Its arrival in Europe will begin in the United Kingdom during the first half of 2025, and it is expected that it will subsequently reach other countries on the continent, which have not yet been confirmed by the manufacturer.

The Farizon SV is a fully electric van with considerable dimensions and a large load capacity. This vehicle stands out for its advanced technology and the innovations it integrates, which, according to Farizon, are pioneering in the market within its segment. Its reliability has also been verified, having undergone an exhaustive testing and development program with more than 1.5 million kilometres covered, to ensure that it meets all EU standards.

One of the most notable aspects of the Farizon SV is its custom modular platform, which offers significant improvements in terms of cargo space, range, driving and safety. It also features cell-to-pack technology, which increases the capacity of the battery pack by 10 percent, reduces the vehicle’s weight by 4 percent and improves chassis rigidity by 20 percent.

But this is not the only innovation this van offers. The Farizon SV incorporates the first drive-by-wire platform with dual redundancy in the global van market which, according to the manufacturer, reduces braking distance by 10 percent, increases range by 5 percent and improves steering response by 300 percent.

Availability in Europe

Initially, the Farizon SV will be available in the United Kingdom in three lengths and three heights to choose from, although details on the specific dimensions of each option are not yet known. At first, it will come equipped with two battery packs to choose from, one of 67 kWh and the other of 83 kWh, with a third 106 kWh option arriving somewhat later.

Founded in 2016, Farizon focuses its activity on selling zero-emission commercial vehicles, including vans, trucks and buses in its catalogue. Although Farizon’s presence in Europe has been very limited until now, this could change in the future with the launch of models such as this new electric van developed specifically for the European market.
