The new Seat León CUPRA 290 is available in three different body styles, with a 2.0 FS petrol engine that delivers a substantial 290 CV, along with a very attractive and dynamic sporty design and specific equipment for this version

The Seat León Cupra arrives with a new design that fully retains the style and design of this well-known model, while giving it a sportier and more powerful character. This vision is enhanced by a very attractive front end with a dynamic look. The wheels are fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels with an exclusive design, painted in two-tone titanium, and the red brake calipers bearing the CUPRA inscription also add a sporty touch that is the main draw of this version.

In addition, the exterior mirrors feature black housings, while inside the driver will find a sports steering wheel with a flat-bottomed rim, which improves grip and allows a more sporty and intense driving experience. It is also equipped with LED ambient lighting that creates a very soft and pleasant atmosphere in the cabin.

One of the particularities of the Seat León Cupra 290 is that it features a 2.0-litre TSI engine delivering 290 CV and a maximum torque of 350 Nm over a range of 1,700 to 3,500 rpm, with consumption ranging from 6.5 l/100 km with the DSG gearbox to 6.7 l/100 km with the manual gearbox fitted to the León Cupra SC. As for emissions, these range between 149 and 152 g/km.

The 2.0 FSI engine delivers 290 CV with improved responsiveness and reduced consumption and emissions figures

This engine features an additional indirect injection system, which complements the FSI direct injection under partial load. When it operates, during start-up or when load increases, it helps reduce consumption and lower emissions. It also includes the Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC), which allows the chassis to adjust quickly to road conditions.

Another feature of this model is the limited-slip self-locking differential on the front axle, which improves traction and handling thanks to its management through an electronic control unit. It also eliminates steering wheel kickback without sacrificing comfort at the wheel.

Among the driver assistance systems is the CUPRA Drive Profile, which allows the selection of five driving modes:
Comfort, Sport, Eco, Individual and Cupra. In the latter, the pedal responds very smoothly and, together with this mode, the DCC system and the front self-locking differential are activated in their most sporty setting, delivering the full efficiency of this model.

In addition to the latest information and entertainment systems installed in the SEAT Media System Plus, the Seat León CUPRA will feature several items of exclusive equipment across its three body styles: SC, five-door and Familiar ST.
