Honda previews exciting new models for the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

We are already in the middle of the motor show season and, as every year, the Tokyo Motor Show arrives, where many of the Asian brands are ready to surprise us with several models that aim to bring electric models to the forefront. And not only that: we know that the brand’s first model powered by a fuel cell, which uses hydrogen as its main energy source, is already ready.
The Honda FCV uses a fuel cell, which is located where the combustion engine would normally be. It is a saloon that uses the thrust provided by this propulsion system. This arrangement of the traction system allows it to offer considerable interior space, which is used so that the five occupants who can travel in the car do so with all possible comfort.
Good news arrives regarding its range. We already know this is the topic everyone uses to attack the idea of owning an electric car, and it loses its validity in the case of the Honda FCV. Thanks to the fuel cell, the range of this model reaches, they say, 700 kilometres. More than enough to offer good service. It also has an added advantage: if needed, it can be used as an additional battery to supply electricity to the home.

Furthermore, since this show takes place at home, in its own country, Honda proposes a series of models that will be available only in Japan. One of these models is the Honda S660, which is sold only in this country. It is a compact sports model which, despite its small dimensions thanks to a series of compact solutions, delivers a very accurate performance.
Following its presentation in the European market, the Honda Civic Type R will arrive in Japan, a market where it was not yet present. To complete Honda’s new offering at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the brand will present several concept cars, such as the Honda Project 2&4, which we already had the chance to see at the Frankfurt Motor Show and which will bring the innovations in its design closer to the Japanese public.
