Hongqi Guoya, the Chinese luxury saloon that has travelled to the Paris Motor Show
This luxury saloon sold in China has been presented to the European market in Paris, although it is not yet clear whether it will be sold in Europe.

There are cars built for the Chinese market that will never reach Europe. These are cars that take advantage of the strength of the Chinese market and do not need to leave their country of origin. Others, however, after an initial life in this country, begin to be sold in other Asian countries and even reach Western countries. In the case of the Hongqi Guoya, we are still waiting for the announcement of its arrival in Europe.
At first, we would have no reason to ask, since in principle it should not reach our market, but after being presented at the Paris Motor Show, it is expected to be announced shortly. But what does the Hongqi Guoya offer that catches our attention so much?

A luxury saloon for the Chinese market
This model is a luxury saloon, sold under the Hongqi brand, which is owned by the giant FAW. This manufacturer has several models on the European market, specifically in Norway and Germany. So the presence of the Guoya in Paris could indicate that it will soon go on sale in those same markets.

In terms of powertrains, it is offered with two plug-in hybrid versions of high performance. One of them features a 3.0-litre turbo V6 engine and the other uses a 4.0-litre turbo V8 engine. The battery fitted to both models is lithium-ion, although its capacity and the electric-only range it will offer have not been confirmed. Will we see it soon on the European market, even if only in a couple of countries? If so, we will soon have news about it and learn details about the model.
