Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series, the most powerful version, but only for the track
This variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is designed for track use and can offer a great experience when driving on the circuit.

If we talk about the most powerful sports range of Mercedes, the top spot goes to the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. At least for now. The brand has just unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series, a variant of that model that offers even more power and performance. However, it is intended exclusively for the track, as it is not approved for road use.
This variant has been built to celebrate the brand’s 55th anniversary, which is why only 55 units will be produced worldwide. All the experience the brand has gained in building GT3 and GT4 models is present in this car, so it has a lot to offer to whoever gets behind the wheel.
Same engine, more performance
The engine powering this version is the same unit used in the Mercedes-AMG Black Series, but the 4.0-litre V8 has been modified. The fuel injectors have been replaced with competition-tuned units and the ECU has been reprogrammed so that it
produces 734 CV and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. That represents 14 CV and 50 Nm more than the variant it is based on.

The transmission has also been replaced, and the one fitted to this version is better suited to competition. All the power is transmitted to the rear wheels. The Bilstein dampers are also a practical addition for managing that power on the track. They are adjustable and have different settings for low- and high-speed movement.
The 18-inch wheels have steel brakes, ideal for competition, along with a traction system with 12 modes and an ABS system. The fuel tank holds 120 litres, so you can enjoy the track experience for longer without having to refuel every so often.
More efficient aerodynamics
As it does not need to meet the homologation requirements for road driving, it has
more design flexibility. A front diffuser has been added, along with air intake openings on the sides, air outlets in the wheel arches and a wing that can be adjusted via a mechanical system to improve aerodynamics better than the one used on the Black Series model.
Safety is important on this model, so a roll cage has been added, a safety cell for the driver, a five-point harness system and a rescue hatch in the roof. A fire suppression system is also fitted to the vehicle, providing greater safety in the event of any incident.
This model will be sold directly by the company and has a starting price of 369,000 euros plus taxes, and includes some extras such as a helmet and a basic set of spare parts. The passenger safety cell, the ventilation system and an in-motion drinking device are optional and can considerably increase the price, but they will help make the driving experience more satisfying.
