Nissan Juke Hybrid: range and prices for the Spanish market

Nissan Launches Juke Hybrid In Europe

Following the announcement that the Nissan Juke Hybrid is joining the range alongside the aesthetic refresh of the small Japanese SUV, Nissan now announces the start of sales in the Spanish market, as well as a special launch edition called the Première Edition.

Let’s recall that among the main features, the Juke Hybrid incorporates the hybrid technology used by the Renault Captur E-TECH Hybrid, with which the Juke shares more than just its powertrain. It consists of a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 94 CV, with a maximum torque of 148 Nm, assisted by a primary 49 CV electric motor with 205 Nm of torque, combined with a second electric motor that acts as starter motor and generator, with an output of 15 kW. The system is completed by the inverter and a liquid-cooled battery of 1.2 kWh, as well as the sophisticated “multi-mode” gearbox.

Nissan quotes a system output of 143 CV, 25% more than the other mechanical option available in the range, the 114 CV 1.0 Turbo petrol, compared with which the Juke Hybrid manages to reduce fuel consumption by up to 40% in urban driving, and by 20% on the combined cycle, which comes to between 5.0 and 5.2 l/100 km. The Juke Hybrid has three driving modes, Eco, Normal and Sport, plus EV mode to force the vehicle to run in electric mode, provided the battery charge and driving conditions allow it. It also features the e-Pedal function that the brand uses on its electric cars, which allows energy to be recovered during braking using only the accelerator pedal.

As distinguishing elements compared with the non-hybrid Juke, the Hybrid version has slight changes to the grille, plus added front wheel arch trim, a different rear spoiler, specific alloy wheels and “Hybrid” badging. An indicator on the instrument cluster has also been added to show the energy flow of the powertrain during operation.

Range and prices for the Nissan Juke Hybrid: watch out for the discounts!

The Nissan Juke Hybrid is available from the second trim level upwards, as it is not offered with the entry-level Acenta version. These are the list prices, for which the brand has not yet announced any discounts:

  • Juke 1.6 Hybrid N-Connecta: 31,350 euros
  • Juke 1.6 Hybrid N-Design: 32,450 euros
  • Juke 1.6 Hybrid Tekna: 34,200 euros

If these prices hold without discounts, the Juke Hybrid is one of the most expensive SUVs in its category. In fact, the difference with the aforementioned Captur E-TECH is almost 5,000 euros more in the case of the Japanese SUV. The list price of the 114 CV Juke 1.0 Turbo in N-Connecta trim with automatic gearbox is 28,150 euros, around 3,000 euros more than the Hybrid… without applying discounts to either. But on the Nissan configurator, the 1.0 Turbo carries discounts of around 4,000 euros off these list prices. A discount -or similar- that the Hybrid should also have if it wants to be competitive against its rivals…

Nissan Juke Hybrid Première Edition

As a launch offer, Nissan is putting on sale the Juke Hybrid Première Edition, with exclusive equipment and a list price of 32,350 euros, practically the same as the N-Design versions. This special edition is characterised by body colours to choose from, skyline grey or lunar silver, in both cases with a contrasting black roof, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels in a 5-spoke design with two-tone finish.

Inside, the edition is characterised by the mixed upholstery of the exclusive Première Edition seats, which combines black fabric and PVC, with contrasting stitching on the seats as well as the centre console, armrest and door panels.
