One of the last Saab 9-5 Sport Hatch models for sale at 80,000 euros

It was 2011, and in early the year the Geneva Motor Show 2011 was due to take place. One of the novelties to be presented there was the new Saab 9-5 in estate form, that is, the 9-5 Sport Hatch, a model that promised a lot with the brand’s new start after Spyker had acquired it. But things soon went awry and Saab had to halt production (once again).
With the company’s acquisition by Nevs, a number of orders already in progress were cancelled, among them units of the 9-5 Sport Hatch. And it seems that some buyer has managed to make the most of owning a unique car of which only 27 units were built and is now selling it for around 84,155 euros (an outrageous price).
The specific unit is number 21, according to the seller, in Java Brown Metallic colour with the powerful petrol engine 2.8 Turbo V6 producing 300 CV and all-wheel drive (it is the same engine block fitted to the Opel Insignia OPC). The equipment is complete, with every detail covered, but I still have my doubts that anyone would pay so much for a car that would cost considerably less new.
That said, if you want to buy a Saab 9-3 now, it is possible thanks to the resumption of production at the Trollhättan factory, going on sale on 10 December from the Nevs website itself.
