Paris Motor Show 2012: Lamborghini

At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled a facelift for its Gallardo, while also presenting a more performance-oriented variant aimed at the racetrack.

The history of Lamborghini at the Paris Motor Show has not been easy. We could say it has not achieved the success they expected, mainly due to the sudden arrival of the second facelift of the Gallardo, its sales success. Why did they do it? It was not necessary, as the Italian supercar was already good-looking and modern before.

Fortunately, for some only the LP560-4, the LP570-4 Superleggera and the Spyder Performance receive this small restyling; the rest remain untouched, including the rear-wheel-drive models. I am not going to say I dislike it, but if you are going to modify it, do it properly and replace it once and for all.

The small Lamborghini receives a new front bumper with triangular shapes to “improve” its appearance while offering an aerodynamic benefit. The rear has been modified to increase the airflow entering the engine bay, allowing it to be cooled. The 19-inch alloy wheels have also been redesigned.

The bull brand has also presented the Gallardo LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica, a vehicle designed for purists seeking high-performance cars for track driving and occasionally for use on public roads, something I do not recommend.

This new edition features carbon-ceramic brakes, a fixed rear spoiler and only three exterior colours can be chosen: Nero Nemesis (matt black), Bianco Canopus (matt white) or Arancio Argos (orange). All of them are combined with other tones that enhance the radical look while breaking the monotony.
