The time has come to look at the new models presented by BMW and MINI at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the largest motoring event in the world, which draws more than a million visitors, especially in these first days of the event. Let’s see what these iconic brands are offering at the French show.

One of the novelties most talked about at the event is the presentation of the BMW Serie 2 Cabrio, which is considered the successor to the Serie 1 Cabrio. As might be expected, almost every aspect of this convertible has been improved: it has grown in size, interior space and equipment, all aimed at enhancing the driving experience of this model.

The BMW X6 is not a world premiere as such, but it is also one of the models on show at the stand of the German brand. The changes to this model are practically unnoticeable compared with the previous version, although it has a more dynamic look.

The new look of the BMW X5 eDrive, the first hybrid model in the range, can also be seen in Paris. It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, but this is the production version, which will finally reach the market at the end of the year.

The hybrid model BMW i8 is also present and is another of the gems the brand has on display for visitors to its stand, reinforcing the brand’s image with the latest technology applied to reducing emissions.

As for MINI, the brand’s big bet is the arrival of the MINI 5-door, which for the first time has two additional doors, growing in size to a length of 4 metres and offering more space for rear seat passengers and greater comfort for its occupants. It was previously shown as the Mini Clubman Concept and will soon reach European markets.
