Seat Arona: now also with a 150 hp 1.5 TSI engine and 7-speed DSG gearbox
The 150 hp SEAT Arona TSI in FR trim, now with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, is set up as one of the sportiest SUVs in its class.

The most powerful and sporty version of the range of the small SUV from Seat, the Arona 1.5 TFSI DSG, is now offered with a new transmission combination. This variant, which was already in the range as the most powerful and dynamic model, used a 6-speed manual gearbox. Now, the new Seat Arona 1.5 TFSI DSG is offered with the seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Performance and efficiency, but without an ECO label
The 4-cylinder engine remains the 1.5 TSI Evo, the most powerful in the range, which is joined by 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI versions with 95 and 116 hp, as well as the 95 hp 1.6 TDI. The 1.0 TGI, with 90 hp, designed to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) also joins the lineup.
For the time being, it remains the only Seat Arona on sale with an ECO label, since this new 1.5 TSI DSG version, which in other models of the Volkswagen group is combined with a MHEV mild hybrid system, does not offer this technology in the Arona.

That does not stop it from being a car with an excellent balance between performance and consumption. The homologated top speed of the new 7-speed Arona TFSI DSG is 210 km/h, with a homologated fuel consumption of between 6 and 6.7 l/100 km under the WLTP cycle.
FR sport trim
For a version with such a dynamic character, the chosen equipment could only be FR. It not only includes a comprehensive specification, but also comes with special suspension tuning and specific styling details both outside and inside.

The starting price announced by Seat for the Arona TSI 150 hp DSG FR is 26,930 euros, without discounts applied. A price that you can certainly reduce with any discounts that may be applied when configuring the vehicle, and which will not be exclusive to this version, since Seat is already preparing the replacement for the Arona, with a thorough update, which will not take long to arrive.
And the discounts had better be “powerful”, because one of its main rivals, the Ford Puma St Line X Ecoboost with 155 hp, has a similar starting price, but with the 2,765 euro offer it drops to 23,360 euros. It has no automatic gearbox, but it does carry the DGT ECO label, as it has an MHEV mild hybrid system.
