Model S Model X Tesla Electric Cars Industry
Tesla delivers 25,000 vehicles in the first quarter, setting a new record
Increasingly strict anti-pollution regulations have made the electric car an alternative. Tesla knows this, and its commercial results back it up.

Electric mobility is already part of our lives. Gone are the days when we all thought the electric car was a rare, utterly marginal “invention.”
Changing needs and increasingly strict anti-pollution regulations have made the electric car a viable alternative. Tesla knows this and is taking very clever advantage of it.
The American company has read the trajectory of the automotive industry perfectly, masterfully interpreting the needs of the user at every moment. Today, its range is still very small§h7†, as it consists of only two models, but its sales figures keep growing.
The result is clear: Tesla has reported that in the first three months of the year it has managed to deliver no fewer than 25,000 vehicles, split between 13,450 units of the Model S and 11,550 units of the Model X SUV. This figure represents a spectacular 69% increase over the same period in 2016.
This is an excellent result that, nevertheless, does not surprise the brand itself, which had already announced at the beginning of the year sales forecasts envisaging the delivery of 47,000–50,000 units in the first six months of the year. If we look at that forecast, we quickly see that, today, the American manufacturer is far exceeding its own targets.

2017 is shaping up to be a great year for the electric car brand led by visionary Elon Musk. Beyond the sales of these two models, the arrival in the final quarter of the Model 3, a smaller model that will launch at an approximate price of €50,000 and compete with the bulk of the premium D segment, must be added.
To add further emphasis to these figures, it is worth noting that the American brand still does not have a very extensive sales network in some regions. Just to take one example, Spain still has no dealerships—although they are about to open in Madrid and Barcelona—nor a wide network of Superchargers. The future is already here.
