Tesla Model Q, the compact car from the American brand that will cost 25,000 euros
Tesla wants to fully popularise electric cars and for that reason will launch a compact model that it expects to cost around 25,000 euros and that it will launch in 2023.

Tesla has become a benchmark in electric vehicles. It is, in fact, the most recognised specialist brand and the one that receives the most orders for electric cars. But its models fall into a fairly high range, which makes its impact considerably smaller than that of other manufacturers on a global level. That could change soon, however, since the brand has announced the development of a compact model that could reach more buyers.
The question is whether it will be a city car or a compact, although bets lean towards the second option. The price of this model, more affordable than the rest of Tesla’s electric cars, is expected to be 25,000 euros, which would place it in a range closer to what most buyers interested in electric mobility can afford.

This project seemed to have been shelved, because the company had given priority to finishing the Tesla Cybertruck and the Semi, but it has been reactivated and is taking shape. One of the main points in moving the new Tesla Model Q forward is the change of platform used.
This will become a new platform, which will lower costs. The batteries will also change and become lithium iron phosphate (LFP), considerably cheaper than lithium-ion. These batteries would be supplied by the Chinese company BYD, so cost savings would be increased to offer a better price to the final consumer.
The Model Q will be manufactured and assembled in China, at the Gigafactory that Tesla has in Shanghai. The announced date would be 2023, but we already know that delays are common with this kind of thing and that date may not be the final one.
As for the characteristics of the future Model Q, it may not even carry this name, but it is expected to be available in three variants. One would be the entry-level version, with basic equipment, another a long-range version and another a high-performance version. The range of this model could be around 400 kilometres, although this could vary depending on the version.
