Škoda Enyaq RS iV, the fully electric Czech SUV now gets a sporty version

Škoda completes the Enyaq range with the most performance-oriented variant of its electric SUV, the RS iV, which comes with 300 CV of power

Skoda Enyaq Rs Iv (1)

When we had the chance to drive the Škoda Enyaq iV last year, we could already see that we were looking at a truly interesting fully electric SUV, one that was certainly among the candidates for the top of the sales charts, something that has been confirmed over the months since it went on sale, undoubtedly a success for the Czech brand with its first 100% electric SUV.

Now Škoda has finally completed the Enyaq iV range, and it does so in grand style, with the arrival of the most powerful version and a much sportier, more striking look: the Enyaq RS iV. The RS badge is already a familiar one for the brand, reserved for its highest-performance versions, and on this electric SUV it could not have been any other way, although its appearance already gives a good indication that we are looking at something “beefier”.

On the outside, its body painted in Verde MambaSkoda Enyaq Rs Iv (5) makes it stand out even more, and the front is completed by a more aggressive bumper with side trim pieces styled like fins, painted in gloss black, as is the frame of the large front grille, which features illuminated Crystal Face vertical bars and is flanked on both sides by the Matrix LED headlights fitted as standard.

From the side of the Škoda Enyaq RS iV we can see that its height is lowered compared with the rest of the range, specifically by 15 mm at the front axleSkoda Enyaq Rs Iv (3) and by 10 mm at the rear axle, and we can also appreciate the massive 20-inch alloy wheels fitted as standard, which can optionally be replaced with 21-inch ones. The gloss black elements continue on the door trim, the front wheel arches, the window surrounds and the roof rails; the same applies at the rear to the rear spoiler and its side trim pieces, as well as the rear diffuser, which adds a red detail line.

Moving inside, as with the Coupé variant, the Škoda Enyaq RS iV is also available in the RS LoungeSkoda Enyaq Rs Iv (7) and RS Suite trim levels, both of which offer a sporty atmosphere driven mainly by the upholstery in black Alcántara leather with contrasting stitching, which appears not only on the sports seats with integrated headrests but also on the dashboard, all complemented by the faux carbon fibre inserts that finish off the cabin.

Mechanically, the Škoda Enyaq RS iV uses the same electric system we already know from the Coupé RS iV, which is on saleSkoda Enyaq Rs Iv (8), consisting of two electric motors that produce a total of 300 CV together with a torque of 460 Nm, sent to all four wheels for greater traction. Added to this is the largest battery available, a 77 kWh unit that gives a maximum range of 500 kilometres, and which can be charged from 10% to 80% of its capacity in about 36 minutes at a fast-charging point.
