That's what a true supercar sounds like, Porsche 991 GT3 PDK

When we talk about the Porsche 911, we’re talking about a myth, a car that has made history and will possibly be one of the best supercars of all time, from the first to the latest, or at least that’s my opinion. But within this model there are three families to distinguish. The Carreras (naturally aspirated), the Turbos (turbocharged) and finally there are the GTs (variants that can be used both on the track and on the road).

I could spend hours talking about this gem, but what concerns us today is the new generation of the GT3 variant, more specifically a spy video in which the spectacular sound of its naturally aspirated flat-six engine can be heard in full detail with well over 400 CV of power. Furthermore, not only can its roar be heard, but also its cornering on the old Nürburgring and on some road near the circuit.

Its bodywork barely wears any camouflage, so we can infer that this prototype is in the final phase of its life, and the production model will soon arrive at some motor show. Thanks to the lack of protection, we can see the new lines of this model with fairly good quality. The bodywork has been designed to provide as much aerodynamic support as possible at high speeds.

The problem comes now. Ever since the first GT left the German factory, we have been used to seeing manual gearboxes in all its variants, but it seems times are changing and the market is calling the shots. Manual transmissions, however much the brand fights against it, are in decline, and on this occasion the PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox will be available.

Alright, it will be very efficient and will improve lap times, but ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about a supercar designed by and for the track. Seriously, are they going to let a control unit do the heel-and-toe for us? For me and the brand’s purists, it will surely be a blow.

Below you have a beautiful video. Turn the speakers up nice and loud and enjoy.
