The Audi S8 2020 comes with a Mild Hybrid system and 570 CV of power
The new Audi S8 features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 570 CV and 800 Nm.

The Audi S8 2020 has just been presented as the top-of-the-range variant in the Audi A8 family, which underwent a facelift two years ago. After a year of testing on the legendary Nürburgring circuit, it is worth noting that it has very promising lines. The first thing to know about the new Audi S8 is that it is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with around 570 CV and a maximum torque of 800 Nm.
This engine is not only powerful but also promises to be reasonably efficient, as it incorporates Mild Hybrid technology with a 48-volt system that includes a start-stop function.

All the growl of the Audi S8 is sent to the road through a Quattro all-wheel drive system with a sports differential. It also features all-wheel steering as standard to improve manoeuvrability at low speeds and provide greater stability at higher speeds.
Furthermore, if customers wish, a set of carbon-ceramic brakes is available, with discs measuring 16.5 inches at the front and 14.6 inches at the rear.

Audi S8 2020, a very sporty saloon
Although the Audi S8 is the fastest model in the A8 family, the four-ring brand has by no means made it uncompromising and has included predictive active suspension as standard. This system limits body roll in tight corners to just 2.5 degrees, and in comfort mode allows up to five degrees of roll.
The Audi suspension technology can also raise and lower each wheel independently to provide the smoothest possible ride. Forward-facing cameras are also used to detect potholes and adjust the suspension predictively.

The exterior design of the Audi S8 2020 fits a model Audi with S-badge and features a slightly sportier and more aggressive front end with redesigned corners, elegant five-spoke alloy wheels, a unique badge and four trapezoidal exhaust outlets. As for the interior, you will find matt aluminium trim together with diamond-stitched seats with an embroidered S badge.
There is also an upper trim piece in the cabin made of Carbon Vector that creates a special 3D effect and, as with other models from the four-ring brand, a touchscreen is offered for the infotainment system, a touchscreen for the climate control functions and the digital instrument display of the Audi Cockpit.

In terms of technology, the new Audi S8 2020 is equipped with five radar sensors, six cameras, twelve ultrasonic sensors and a laser scanner. For now, we will have to wait a little to see it on the roads of Europe, but we are sure it will not disappoint anyone.
