On its centenary, the Automobile Barcelona puts some of the most popular electric cars of the moment under its main photos

Yesterday the 2019 edition of the Automobile Barcelona was officially opened, an opening restricted to trade professionals; from tomorrow, 11 May, the general public will be able to see up to 130 exhibitors, of which 45 are car manufacturers.

Of these 45 manufacturers, some have gone all out, especially when it comes to electric cars. That is why Top10motor highlights the following, as they are very recent news:

Jaguar I-Pace

Jaguar I-PACEIt is almost a veteran but, thanks to winning the Car of the Year 2019 award, the Jaguar I-Pace is very much in the spotlight. An electric SUV that was presented in 2017 but began sales in 2018 and, for that reason, was eligible for the prestigious award given by the international press.

Be that as it may, the first electric Jaguar appears in Barcelona as the British brand’s bet on sportiness, comfort and sustainable mobility.

Mercedes-Benz EQC

When it comes to electric SUVs, the two most anticipated crossovers of the year cannot be missing from the Barcelona motor show, among vehicles that do without hydrocarbons in favour of electric power.

A vehicle that is the German manufacturer’s initial step on its path towards electrification, an SUV whose official prices for Spain of the Mercedes-Benz EQC are already known, and which competes directly with the other electric SUV of the moment.

Audi e-tron

Coches eléctricos híbridosThe brand’s new crossover made its presentation in Spain at the Automobile Barcelona. The electric SUV from Audi stands as the latest representative of the four-ring brand, both among the best SUVs of 2019 and the best-selling cars within the manufacturer’s Ingolstadt range and across the whole market.

Hyundai NEXO

Hyundai NexoThe benchmark for current electric car range is also among the most sought-after cars at the show held in the heart of the Ciudad Condal.

The South Korean offensive in cars that do without fossil fuels has its greatest exponent in the Hyundai NEXO, a car whose batteries generate electricity from hydrogen.

Seat el-Born

And if we talk about popular electric vehicles at affordable prices, Seat is going all out with the production car that will evolve from its Seat el-Born prototype, a car shown at the local event for the manufacturer even though it will be assembled far from Spain.

Volkswagen ID. Crozz and Volkswagen ID. Buzz

And the Volkswagen group intends to put on the market what is possibly the broadest catalogue of electric vehicles on the market.

Among others, the cars derived from the concept models shown at the Automobile Barcelona, the Volkswagen ID. Crozz and the ID. Buzz.

Two prototypes that preview what will be the new electric crossover and the electric van, both for passenger and goods transport from Volkswagen.

Hispano Suiza Carmen

But, without doubt, both as one of the most spectacular supercars and for being an electric car of extremely high performance, the Hispano Suiza Carmen draws the great attention of the specialist public for being such a unique and exclusive model.

A car whose first unit, built for one of the only 18 buyers who may receive each Hispano Suiza Carmen assembled also in the Barcelona area, will be delivered in a little over a year, since the brand’s managers confirmed that the first example will be delivered in June 2020.
