AMI Citroen Electric Cars Urban
The Citroën My Ami dresses up as the My Ami Buggy Concept for an exclusive limited edition
Based on the off-road prototype they showed us last year, Citroën announces the limited-edition My Ami Buggy, with just 50 units

Simple, versatile, practical, economical and environmentally friendly. These are some of the features of the Citroën My Ami that have allowed this small electric quadricycle to become the leader in its segment in less than a year, features that are further backed by the My Ami Cargo version, aimed at professionals dedicated to small deliveries.
But Citroën’s ideas for the My Ami didn’t stop there. In fact, this little car has shown a high capacity for customisation and use, as we saw at the end of last year, when they presented us with the My Ami Buggy Concept prototype, with which the French brand unleashed its imagination and drew out its most adventurous side. This very prototype forms the basis of the exclusive My Ami Buggy Ultra Special Limited Edition that Citroën has just announced.

This Citroën My Ami Buggy will quickly catch the eye thanks to the Khaki paint used on its bodywork, which also takes the Pop and Vibe versions as a reference. From these versions it borrows the reinforcements for the front and rear bumpers, the front plate and headlight protectors, the wheel arches and side skirts, and the rear spoiler, giving it a more off-road appearance.

The contrast to all these elements comes from the details in bright yellow, both on the front plate, which by the way can be personalised, and on the direction arrows stuck to the wheel arches in the style used in the world of aviation. The 14-inch wheels painted gold also stand out, with black-painted hub caps, a colour that is also present in the protective accessories, such as the protective bars that replace the doors.

Once we get inside the Citroën My Ami Buggy, we see that the French brand has applied yellow to the three compartments on the dashboard, as well as to the seats upholstered in technical fabric with contrasting yellow stitching, and also to the stitching on the floor mats and their double edging. Finally, its occupants can see the sky thanks to the foldable canvas roof in light grey, which pays tribute to the Citroën Mehari or 2CV.

Mechanically there are no surprises: the Citroën My Ami Buggy still uses the 6 kW electric motor (8.2 CV), which allows it to reach 100 km/h in 10 seconds, although we must bear in mind that its top speed is limited to 45 km/h. Its electrical system is completed by a 5.5 kWh battery that gives it a range of 70 km, which will need three hours to fully charge if a domestic plug is used.
The Citroën My Ami Buggy will be built as a strict limited edition of just 50 units, going on sale from 21 June, although unfortunately only the French market will benefit from this limited edition.
