Electric Cars Beijing Motor Show Todoterrenos
The Dongfeng M-Hunter is the movie-star off-roader set to debut at the Beijing Motor Show
The Beijing Motor Show is about to take place, and we expect to see plenty of original and highly exclusive models, such as this striking electric off-roader.

Off-road vehicles are usually large vehicles, built to tackle the most demanding terrain with little effort. They are equipped with very capable suspension systems that allow them to keep moving despite a large number of complex obstacles. But from China, Dongfeng has wanted to give its latest off-roader a more appealing image, and has created the M-Hunter.
This off-roader has been unveiled ahead of its debut at the Beijing Motor Show, where it will be on display in all its glory. We are looking at a vehicle that is expected to be the most expensive car in China, as it will reach one million yuan, which is just over 130,000 euros at the current exchange rate. And it is certainly a car that is going to surprise.

This is a vehicle designed to move with ease over the most demanding terrain, and it has been said to lack the comforts typical of a road-going 4×4. In other words, it is comfortable, but only up to a point, because that is not the aim. The intention is for it to be effective in extreme off-road driving and little else.

Its look is quite striking, and we can see that it has no doors or even a windscreen. The doors have been replaced by horizontal bars, and it includes a roll cage to protect the occupants. The bonnet is made of lightweight carbon fibre, and the square wheel arches give it a rather powerful look.
At the front, there are also LED headlights with a slim design, red towing hooks and a large winch that can get the occupants out of more than one tight spot. The wheels have a modern, up-to-date design and are fitted with off-road tyres so the vehicle can cope with the most demanding terrain.
On the roof it features additional LED lights and a roof rack for carrying materials and objects without any problems. At the rear it does not have one spare wheel, but two. That way, it is prepared for any problem it may encounter along the way.
As for its powertrain, it is expected to be an electric vehicle, although it could also come as a range-extender vehicle. This is extrapolated from the characteristics of the brand’s previous off-road model, the M-Hero 1. That one has an electric drivetrain offering considerable power of 800 kW, equivalent to 1,072 CV, so we would be talking about similar figures. The answer will come in a few days at the Beijing Motor Show.
