The Chinese tuner has worked on this model to turn it into a tribute to a historical Chinese figure for the 75th anniversary of the Italian brand.

Tuners work to turn the models we already know into something completely different, into more attractive vehicles that break with convention. In Taiwan there is Zacoe, a car tuner that has worked on the Ferrari 488 GTB, a model presented in 2015 and replaced in 2019 by the Ferrari F8 Tributo. This has not prevented the tuner from creating five units of this model with a different look that draws on Chinese history.

The concept used to transform the model has been the armour of a historical figure from the country, who was important during the Three Kingdoms period of China and who died in 199 AD. To create the bodywork of this model, the design of this general’s armour has been reworked, based on the one that appears in the video game Dynasty Warriors 9.

It is also based on that of his horse, which was called Chi Tu. This horse appeared in a Chinese novel from the 14th century, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and has also served as the basis for the car. All of this has been used to create an aerodynamic kit featuring a very pronounced front splitter. Extensions have also been added to the side skirts and a fixed rear spoiler, similar to the one used on the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO.

The added aerodynamic kit reduces air resistance, improves heat dispersion and reduces turbulence. In addition, there is the new exhaust created by Fit Exhaust with twin carbon fibre tips, which produces a more appealing sound. Visually, the ground clearance appears lower, with larger wheels.

As for the engine, the Chinese tuner has said nothing, so it is assumed that he will keep the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 611 CV and 760 Nm of maximum torque.

According to Zacoe, this car has been created to celebrate the 75 years of Ferrari. No figures have been given for the cost of these converted units, but knowing there are only five, we can imagine that it will not be a cheap car and that it will sit well above a factory-standard Ferrari model.
