The Jaguar XF Sportbrake is revealed in a new teaser and its presentation is confirmed

The Jaguar XF Sportbrake has finally been brought to light. The estate version of the XF range announces its presentation at the Wimbledon tournament

It has taken far too long for images to be revealed, but at last we can say that Jaguar is now fully prepared for the unveiling of the XF Sportbrake, the most family-oriented version of the English sports saloon, which will go on sale to rival already well-established heavyweights in the markets such as the BMW 5 Series Touring and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate.

We had heard nothing more about the Jaguar XF Sportbrake since it was spotted testing on the road, although unfortunately the dense camouflage it wore allowed us to glimpse little or nothing. Now Jaguar has officially revealed on its website an image from which we can get a sense of its refined interior, all thanks to its panoramic roof, as the image is taken from above.

But there is a little more, since through the video I have left at the end we can also glimpse its sporty lines thanks to the sketch superimposed over the Wimbledon tennis court. And why was such a mythical setting as Wimbledon chosen? Well, as you may have guessed, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake will have its world premiere during the Wimbledon 2017 championships, which take place in the first half of July.

Its arrival in the markets once it is presented still has no date and, as you will also suspect, we do not know its starting price either, although we can use as a reference that an Jaguar XF starts at 43,060 euros in Spain, so the price for the Sportbrake version will be slightly higher.

As for the mechanical side, the most logical thing is that it will share the same diesel and petrol engines of 2,000 cc, as well as the 3,000 cc V6 engines, also with diesel or petrol variants. It will presumably also have a sportier and more radical version like its sibling, also called the XF S Sportbrake. The most basic models should be fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, or an 8-speed automatic optionally, although the latter will be standard on the most powerful versions.
