The Lamborghini Huracán STO goes through Novitec's hands to be covered in carbon fibre
The Lamborghini Huracán STO is a spectacular supercar, and it is now even more so thanks to Novitec, who have modified its styling using carbon fibre

The Lamborghini Huracán has rightly become one of the most important and highly regarded models, both for the Italian brand and for its own customers. One need only look at the Huracán’s sales figures, which just over a month ago celebrated 20,000 units sold since its launch in 2014. These are successful numbers for a supercar, and this round figure belongs to the Huracán STO version.
The Lamborghini Huracán STO was created to bring all of its privileged owners the technology and expertise the brand has developed in competition, in a road-going model. Its name reflects this: the initials STO come from Super Trofeo Omologata, and it takes as its reference the spectacular GT3 EVO2 with which the brand competes in various events. The Huracán STO is precisely our protagonist today, a model that has passed through the workshops of Novitec to give it a personal touch.

As a homologated competition version for the road, as you can imagine, and as we have detailed on previous occasions, it features specific components compared with a standard Huracán. Even so, Novitec wanted to give it greater exclusivity with a styling and aerodynamic kit in carbon fibre, reducing its weight and giving it a personal touch from the tuner. These components replace around 75% of the original bodywork. Among other elements, this results in a new front end with larger air intakes, new side panels, new mirror housings and a new engine cover.

Looking at the side of the Novitec Lamborghini Huracán STO, we don’t only see carbon fibre panels. It is also from this angle that the new six-spoke double “Y”-design wheels and centre lock nut, made by Vossen, are best appreciated. They come in 20-inch size at the front and 21-inch at the rear, and can be ordered in any of 72 available colours, with a brushed or polished finish. We also see the new suspension, offered in two options: first, one for models fitted with the front lift system, which now allows 14 different configurations and is signed by KW; second, one for models with conventional suspension, which lowers the height of the Huracán STO by 30 millimetres.

Mechanically, Novitec has made no changes to the engine, so the Huracán STO continues to deliver 640 CV together with 565 Nm of torque, figures achieved thanks to its naturally aspirated V10 engine, which allow it to reach 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. What Novitec has confirmed is that a new exhaust line will be available, which can be ordered with electronically controlled or non-controlled butterfly valves, and made of stainless steel or INCONEL (a material used in Formula 1 cars), as well as with a fine 999 gold plating.

Novitec has barely shown images of the interior, as in principle no modifications have been made. However, should any customer expressly request them, they will accommodate those wishes using the finest leather and Alcantara available for a vehicle in this category.
