Scirocco Volkswagen Coupés Range / versions
The new Volkswagen Scirocco now has prices in Spain

Volkswagen has officially announced the details of the new Scirocco range for the Spanish market. The model received an update earlier this year, which was presented to the public in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The brand has confirmed that interested buyers will be able to order it from the middle of August.
Exteriorly, it is distinguished by new LED headlights at the front and rear, a redesigned front bumper, a new rear diffuser, and a greater variety of colours and wheel styles (including the 19-inch “Talladega” wheels fitted to the Scirocco R). Changes to the cabin can be seen in the dashboard, which now has an appearance closer to that of the Golf, the steering wheel, and the new upholstery and materials for the dashboard and doors.

Mechanical updates include a general increase in power across all engines, ranging from the 3 horsepower gained by the 1.4 TSI (now producing 125 CV) up to the 20 extra horsepower offered by the most economical version of the 2.0 TSI (now producing 180 CV). Another point common to all of them is that their combined-cycle consumption drops from 0.3 l/100 km for the 150 CV 2.0 TDI to 1.4 l/100 km for the 220 CV 2.0 TSI.
The initial Scirocco range in Spain consists solely of the R-Line trim and the Scirocco R with the 280 CV 2.0 TSI engine. The Scirocco R-Line comes as standard, in addition to the exterior pack that gives the trim its name, with bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, headlight washers, LED rear lights, heated electric mirrors, RCD 510 audio system, dual-zone climate control, “Easy Entry” access system, Plus multifunction display, sports seats and hill start assist.

Optional equipment adds new safety and driver assistance systems such as Adaptive Electronic Suspension (DCC) with three settings (Normal, Comfort and Sport), the XDS electronic limited-slip differential, the blind spot detector (“Blind Spot“), the automatic light control (“Light Assist“) and the new “Park Assist” system with an additional function for automatic parallel parking. A power panoramic sunroof is also available, which can rise by up to 39 mm.
The Scirocco R comes as standard with larger brake discs (diameters of 345 mm at the front and 310 mm at the rear), a more sporty chassis setup, the electronic limited-slip differential XDS and a specific mode for the ESC stability control that allows more body movement and deactivates traction control.
