The Nissan GT-R Nismo knows no limits and breaks the record on the INTA track
Nissan went to the INTA track with the GT-R Nismo and Marc Gené, who worked together to beat the track record with a time of 1:05.83.

Supercar competition is becoming more intense every day, since the firms responsible for bringing these models to life are constantly outdoing themselves. The Nissan GT-R has always been able to boast of being one of the most effective models in its segment and, after achieving numerous successes, the Japanese brand has not been entirely satisfied and has decided to go for more. With this premise, the Japanese supercar took on the INTA track and managed to set a new record.
It was in 2007 when Godzilla took the form of a car and presented itself as the GT-R. This Nissan supercar was a revolution in every sense for the brand and, at the same time, for motoring enthusiasts, since it carried a strong legacy from its predecessors bearing the Skyline name, and because it was the first in the series to be produced worldwide, something that pleased many. Even so, the Japanese firm made sure that its new creation would be a myth not only for its past, but also for its effectiveness on the road.
Nissan managed to create a product capable of keeping intact what the previous generations represented and which, at the same time, offered a value for money that outperforms the competition. The Japanese firm has demonstrated this on the track with the most radical version of the GT-R, the Nismo. This version accentuates each and every one of the supercar’s traits with the aim of raising them to a higher level and, together with Marc Gené, has managed to turn the stopwatch around on the INTA track.

Let us remember that under the bonnet of the GT-R Nismo lies a powerful 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine capable of producing 600 CV of power and 652 Nm of torque, figures that allow it to stand up to the Italian titans. At the same time, the Japanese supercar is able to reach 100 km/h in under three seconds and reach a top speed of 315 km/h.
The combination of a professional driver such as Marc Gené with the tuning of the GT-R have been the key elements in far surpassing the previous record at the INTA. We must also bear in mind that the Nismo variant is 16.6 kg lighter than the standard model, making the power-to-weight ratio even more cutting-edge and effective. Thanks to the combination of elements that took part in this test, the supercar from Nissan has managed to stop the clock at a time of 1:05.83.

The GT-R has literally surpassed itself, since the Catalan driver had three variants of the sports car under his charge. Specifically, the standard version and the Track Edition accompanied the Nismo, which set times of 1:06.93 and 1:06.39 respectively. Although the most radical Nissan GT-R managed to take the victory, the three recorded times are the fastest laps ever completed at the INTA.
