The Nissan Patrol offers three new versions for the Middle East market
The legendary off-roader from the German brand introduces new versions that, for the time being, will only be sold in the Middle East market, where it is very popular

Few off-roaders are as popular as the Nissan Patrol. The legendary vehicle from the Japanese brand is now 80 years old and has become one of the best-known in many markets. Part of that fame comes from its versatility and durability. In fact, many of the vehicles the UN uses on its missions are Nissan Patrol, which is a good indication of what this off-roader offers. Some markets are more receptive to this model, and the Middle East is one of them. For them, three new versions of this versatile car have been launched, based on two animals that inhabit their deserts: the falcon and the gazelle.
In fact, these are the names of the new versions: Nissan Patrol Falcon, Nissan Patrol Gazelle and Nissan Patrol Gazelle-X. All three variants are equipped with a 4.8-litre six-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The engine delivers 280 CV and a maximum torque of 452 Nm, which is sent to all four wheels via a standard 4WD system.

Other features of these special models for the Middle East include a 10-centimetre lift kit, which allows the car to tackle really difficult terrain, a different differential ratio on the rear and front axles, an overdrive for use with fifth gear, and other elements that make a real difference on tough terrain.
The Nissan Patrol remains a very popular off-roader in markets such as the Middle East. The Patrol Falcon has distinctive body trim reminiscent of a falcon. The front bumper is chrome-finished and the roof features a LED light bar. The wheel arches and spoilers are black, and it has a more stylised look than the other two variants. The Patrol Gazelle, meanwhile, also has different body decoration and 17-inch bronze rally-design alloy wheels fitted with 285 mm all-terrain tyres.
The design is based on a gazelle, so the brown colour of its coat is present in the interior leather and other areas, giving that desert-vehicle image which is quite appealing. The exterior is completed with an air snorkel on the bonnet, a suspension kit that raises it an extra 5 centimetres, and a winch.
The Patrol Gazelle-X is a visually more powerful version of the previous one and features 315 mm tyres, a LED light bar, distinct bumpers at both the front and rear, and extra equipment to move with greater ease over difficult terrain. All of this, at least for the moment, is only for very specific markets, among which Spain, unfortunately, is not included.
