Porsche Sedans Sports Cars Eventos Salón de Los Ángeles
The Porsche Panamera GTS also arrives in Los Angeles
The Panamera GTS makes its debut in Los Angeles, offering a bit more power from the V8 engine, some exterior details similar to the Turbo and a feature that Porsche has already applied to the Carrera and Carrera S.

Purists at Porsche haven’t quite swallowed the Panamera, although the truth is this saloon has won over the market convincingly. The GTS version has been on the cards for some time, considering the Cayenne GTS has already started its commercial journey and a model halfway to the Panamera Turbo wouldn’t go amiss. And so the GTS “toughens up” ahead of the Los Angeles show.
For this occasion the Panamera gets the same V8 engine, but this time the bar has been raised, paired with a seven-speed gearbox. Power is said to be 30 horsepower more than the previous model, although this small difference is offset by other factors that Porsche will present in this new GTS.
The GTS’s air suspension sits this model 10 millimetres lower than any other Panamera. The car’s width has not been increased, although the rear axle now features spacers of around 5 millimetres for each wheel, giving the impression of a wider, lower body. In short, far more aggressive than previous Panameras.
This suspension comes into play when the driver selects Sport Plus mode, stiffening and shortening its travel. All of this is complemented by the various traction and stability systems already seen on this model.
A curious feature of the Panamera GTS that catches the eye is the Sound Symposer. This system, already applied to the Carrera and Carrera S, combines exhaust sounds with intake noise to create an engine sound that can be heard more or less intensely inside the cabin, depending on taste (as it can be switched on or off electronically) and on the driver’s right foot.
