The presentation of the Ford Bronco could be delayed due to the coronavirus
The coronavirus is wreaking havoc in the automotive sector, and the presentation of the Ford Bronco could be delayed because of its persistence.

2020 promised to be full of exciting automotive events, such as the presentations of several cars set to make a before-and-after mark. Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated is that of the Ford Bronco, a model that has been anticipated for some time and that has caused a sensation among the most enthusiastic fans of the American off-roader. After being part of several leaks, our eagerness to see the new Bronco grew rapidly but, much to our regret, we fear it may be postponed because of Covid-19, a virus that threatens both global health and the global economy.
The Oval brand’s signature allowed us to glimpse part of the new Bronco’s off-road capabilities through a video in which a test mule tackled various obstacles. Indeed, Ford intends to take direct aim with this offspring at the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, two of the greatest exponents of the 4×4 segment, which until recently were about to face a tough rival.
Its presentation was scheduled for April but, given how events are unfolding with the blasted coronavirus, it could be delayed, as many other events not only in the motoring world but in many other fields. If so, Ford could postpone it to May or June, a time when many companies hope this crisis that ruthlessly strikes the world will be under control.

But, what do we really expect from the new Ford Bronco? Although the official debut may be delayed, we remain aware of a number of very interesting details about the American 4×4, so let’s review them. For now, it is known that it will come with two different bodies, one called Sport and another larger one with a much clearer off-road concept.
Although the more compact version will also be suitable for driving off-road, its main enjoyment will be on the open road. With this in mind, the Sport variant could be offered with four-cylinder turbo engines, one of them paired with a mild-hybrid system like its sibling in the range, the Kuga. However, the bigger variant will use more exhilarating powertrains, such as a V6 EcoBoost capable of delivering over 300 CV.

Whatever the case, we are confident that the Ford Bronco will overcome adversity and will arrive sooner or later as one of the main new releases of 2020. With this in mind, the 4×4 segment is getting ready to welcome a new member that will offer plenty of appeal and promises to become one of its kings.
